colleen & jonathan [wedding]

I'll admit it, as we headed east on 64 towards their Williamsburg wedding, the clouds got darker, the raindrops started to hit the windshield, and we started to get a bit worried.  Karen and I arrived to the ceremony location early to hopefully scout out some locations for portraits later on in the day. We ran into the groom in the parking lot and as we stood there and chatted with him for a few minutes, the rain got worse. I stayed at the church with the guys while they were getting ready, and Karen headed off to meet up with the girls.

Once everyone arrived at the church, the ceremony started with Colleen, escorted by both her mom and dad.

A few others from the ceremony:

The kiss:

After the ceremony, we walked outside to find a beautiful blue sky with puffy clouds and NO RAIN!!!

Schmidt's Flowers & Accessories provided all the flowers.

After the portraits, we headed to the Williamsburg Hellenic Center for the reception. I started out by shooting the details and found this awesome guest book. Guests wrote messages for the couple and put them inside small envelopes that were glued to the pages of the book.

These two did. not. stop. They were dancing the entire time.

The bride and some friends:

Towards the end of the night, some of the wedding party and other friends snuck outside to decorate Jonathan's car, inside and out.

I'll end this post with two photos of the new Mr. & Mrs.
One from their first dance, and one from their exit.
